YORBA LINDA: As a Muslim born and raised in America, the 9/11 attacks were an attack on both America and Islam.
The perverted motivations of a few tarnished the peaceful intentions of millions.
As a member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community here in Southern California, I will be donating blood this weekend (as part of the “Muslims for Life” campaign held nationwide) to help reach our goal of donating 10,000 bags of blood on 9/11. The message is clear: We give blood, we don’t shed it.

HUNTINGTON BEACH: I was all broken up reading the letters from those poor Muslims who were victims of us evil Americans because of 9/11.
Instead of pandering to them and other Muslims by publishing letters like these and the articles the Register published during their holy month, why don't you expand on really positive things good Muslims are involved in?
A good place to start would be with an article about the group Ahsan Kahn in Yorba Linda is involved with that is trying to increase blood donations [“Muslims for life,” Letters, Sept. 8].
