Glen Ellyn, IL — The final blood drive of the “Muslims for Life” campaign will be held Tuesday from 3:20 to 7:20 p.m. at the Baet-ul-Jaamay Mosque, 2S 510 route 53, Glen Ellyn.
Since the kickoff of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s nationwide "Muslims for Life" initiative on Aug. 19, the group has collected 11,036 units of blood, surpassing the goal of 10,000.
In honor of the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11, the campaign aims to show that terrorists have created an untrue, violent picture of Muslims causing death and destruction. According to a release from the Ahmidiyya Muslim Community, Islam teaches and advocates for the sanctity, reverence and protection of all life.
