India: Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association presents "Peace Symposium" on Pluralism and Tolerance

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, an auxiliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community announced it will present a Peace Symposium on Pluralism and Tolerance on April 14, in New Delhi, India.

According to details, the event will be held at Russian Centre of Science & Culture (RCSC ), 24 Ferozshah Road, New Delhi, India.

The two hour event is free and scheduled to start at 2:30 pm.

The event theme is Pluralism and Tolerance and it aims to highlight the significance and need of tolerance in today's pluralistic societies.

Dignitaries from all walks of life and several prominent leaders of different faiths are expected to participate in the symposium.

Through this event, the organizers say, they want to convey the message that Islam stands for Peace.

"The event will be a platform to bring people together from various walks of life to come to a common rallying point of establishing peace in the society," said MKA in their event announcement. "Terrorism, Religious Fundamentalism, eroding of moral values are threatening the peace and harmony in society."

"This symposium aims to remove commonly held misconceptions and re-establish peace," the organization further stated.

  1. Well as an Indian person with a Dutch, German & Indian Rawalpindi background. I do think Islam is very important and also to show it is a peace & loving religion. I see there is a need for positive endorsement for Islam. I mean not only the Profhet Muhammed but also the Imam's who represented the religion should be respected.

    The Imam from South Asia should have a soft image and must see as a friendly person together with Islam. I think it's very hard for a muslim who have learnd it's entire life about Quran teaching & then heard something bad while he has done nothing wrong. Actually I was planning for an Allah friendly song to show the enlightment in Islam in a music video as an figuration model. If you can make someone smile you have brought your message over.
