Ramallah,(Petra): -- Dozens of Jewish settlers on Monday stormed Al-Aqsa yard and performed rituals on the Jewish holiday of Passover, provoking the feelings of Jerusalemites.

A guard of the Al -Aqsa Mosque told Petra that dozens of Jewish radicals started storming the holy mosque since the early morning hours, adding that the extremists entered the mosque in small groups through the Magharba Gate leading to Al-Buraq Wall.

He pointed out that Israeli occupation police escorted the settlers who were roaming the mosque in their provocative tours.

Palestinian sources reported that since the early morning hours, large numbers of Jerusalemites and local citizens inside 1948 occupied territories were gathering in the yards of Al-Aqsa mosque to prevent any attempt by extremists to perform their rituals.

Leaders of the Jewish extremists and settlement associations urged the Jewish public to largely participate in the so-called "Rise to the Temple Mount" during Jewish Easter holiday.
