California: 'Dine for Humanity' at Yorba Linda Community Center on May 20th
Under Dr. Khan's leadership Gift of Sight mission has completed two successful eye camp in Guatemala and hundreds of patients were treated and Dr. Khan and his team performed sight-restoring cataract surgeries.

Humanity First USA is holding its annual "Dine for Humanity" fundraising dinner on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 5:30pm, at the Yorba Linda Community Center in Yorba Linda, California.
The event will raise funds for the Humanity First USA banner programs and disaster relief efforts, the organization has reported via a press release.
Humanity First, a leading humanitarian organization, is working to restore disaster-stricken and under-developed communities around the globe.
Several speakers will address the gathering and bring the attendees up to speed on the progress of a number of projects currently underway.
Saad Karamat, will outline his recent work in Ghana for the Humanity First Water for Life project.
Karamat worked with the Humanity First USA and Ghana teams from December 2011 to February 2012 to ensure the project’s sustainability.
Karamat, a recent graduate of UC Berkeley, was awarded a grant from the Clausen Center for International Business and Policy at U.C. Berkeley Haas School of Business to support his work with Humanity First USA.
Humanity First volunteer, Dr. Ahsan Khan, an ophthalmologist in Irvine, California and one of the founders for the Gift of Sight program, which opens eye camps in small villages in Guatemala will also speak at the event.
Under Dr. Khan's leadership Gift of Sight mission has completed two successful eye camp in Guatemala and hundreds of patients were treated and Dr. Khan and his team performed sight-restoring cataract surgeries.
Humany First donners will also be breifed on project headed by Dr. Clayton Bell, also a Humanity First volunteer, who opened a primary care clinic in the mountains of South East Haiti. Named as Cloud Medical Forest Clinic, the location provided care for more than 8,000 patients and directed public health projects to improve access to potable water and sanitation in the community.

Humanity First USA aims to relieve suffering caused by natural disaster and human conflict, promote peace and understanding, and strengthen people’s capacity to help themselves.
With support from individual volunteers and contributions, the organization continues to restore underserved communities and build futures around the world every year.
All contributed funds directly benefit the Humanity First USA banner programs focusing on disaster relief, community development, education, and medical services.
