Ahmadiyya Muslim Community hopes to work towards building a global community where all people can live together in mutual respect. In this regard, it believes that religion should play a pivotal role. However, it is somehow perceived to be a part of the problem. It believes that all faiths unequivocally embrace compassion and consider it to be the true test of spirituality and that it brings human beings into relation with the transcendence they call Allah, God, Bhagwan, Nirvana or Dao.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community organized this interfaith conference to foster mutual respect and understanding among various faiths and groups. It wishes to further its commitment to serve the local community. Therefore, it has provided a forum to various groups to come together and realize their shared, common goals, which are primarily driven by compassion.

The following speakers shared their thoughts and experiences:

Rabbi Amiel Wohl Rabbi Emeritus, Temple Israel of New Rochelle, NY; Rev Ron Brummitt President, Miami Rescue Mission; Chander Shaykher MD Founding Chairman & President of South Florida Hindu Temple; The Venerable Lama Karma Chotso Kagyu Shedrup Chöling, Tibetan Buddhist Dharma Center, El Portal, FL; Pastor Linda Freeman Director, Trinity Church Peacemakers' Family Center, Miami FL; Naeem A Lughmani MD Medical Director, Humanity First USA, Baltimore MD; Major Daljit Pannu Member of United Nations Organization of Broward Chapter; Ms. Glynnis Gay Program Supervisor, Best Buddies Florida; Ms. Marilyn Brummitt Director, Miami Rescue Mission;Habeeb M Shafeek MPA Interfaith Outreach Coordinator, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Orlando.

Khalid Minhas MD, who moderated the Conference, delivered these concluding remarks:
“After listening to these wonderful speakers, it becomes clear that they are all committed and working towards the same goal. Despite adhering to different faiths and traditions, they are unanimous in their effort to serve God. Without an iota of doubt, they are convinced that in order to fulfill their obligation to God, they have to take care of God’s creatures. Their faiths beautifully equip them to fulfill this responsibility."

The event concluded with silent prayers which were led by respected Imam Muhammad Saeed. Refreshments were also served.
