The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association of Huddersfield South, which has over 200 members, celebrated the Queen's Diamond Jubilee on the 5th of June 2012 at Baitus Samad mosque located at 41 Lower Fitzwilliam Street.
Various faith leaders, politicians, and media representatives were invited to a barbeque organized by the Ahmadiyya Muslim community.
Fatih-ul Haq, president of local chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association said the event was very successful.
Young children wore costumes to honor the Queen and to celebrate the Jubilee; and women hosted several recreational activities including henna decorations.
According to Fatih-ul Haq, an exhibition was also held showing various humanitarian works carried out by the members of the community such as blood donation sessions, homeless feeding, charity walks, tree planting and working closely for interfaith outreach with other faith communities.

Members from Huddersfield South community, according to Fatih-ul Haq, raised more than 19,000 thousand Pounds as well as participated in the walk.
Fatihul-haq said further that the Ahmadiyya community will continue to work closely with all faiths and other communities to promote peace, harmony and community cohesion.
The purpose of these continuous efforts, says Fatihul-haq, is to “promote respect for each other and the motto of the community 'Love for All, Hatred for None'.”
“All members have prayed for the Her Majesty, the Queen’s long and healthy life.”
