Accra - The Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission of Ghana on Wednesday congratulated President John Dramani Mahama for his elevation to the high office of the Presidency.

President Dramani Mahama was sworn into office by the Chief Justice Mrs Georgina Theodora Wood in Parliament on Tuesday after President John Evans Atta Mills died at the 37 Military Hospital.

Dr Maulvi Wahab Adam, Ameer Head of Mission, said this in a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra.

“As we console you on the loss to the country, we pray that the Almighty Allah would strengthen and guide you to discharge the onerous and sacred responsibility of governing the country with sincerity, honesty, courage, humility and commitment” it added.

The statement said the Muslim Mission would support the President Mahama at all times in the discharge of his duties.
