Ghana: Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission consoles President Mills’ family

Accra, July 25, GNA - The Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission of Ghana on Wednesday extended its condolences to the Head of Former President John Evans Atta Mills' family.

President Mills was confirmed dead by the Chief of Staff, Mr Henry Martey Newman, on Tuesday at 14:15.

This was contained in a statement signed by Maulvi Dr A Wahaab Adam, Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra.

“On behalf of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, I extend our condolences to Dr Mrs Ernestina Naadu Mills, wife of Former President Mills and the family,” it said.

The statement said Ghanaians should stand united as they mourn the death of the leader whose humility and commitment to peace was known.

It added that Ghanaians should console themselves with the thought that each one would return to the Almighty God.
