Keighley Ahmadiyya Muslim Association members gave a helping hand at the town’s Salvation Army.

They cooked up a chicken curry to serve to vulnerable and homeless visitors.

The meal was prepared by first-time cooks Dr Adeem Rubani, Faheem and Haseeb Rahman and Dr Aziz Hafiz, under the watchful eye of trained chefs.

Faheem Rahman, youth leader at Keighley Ahmadiyya Muslim Association, said: “The whole exercise was a very rewarding experience.

“One ought not to be too judgmental because individuals find themselves in desperate situations for different reasons.

“Islam teaches us it is our duty to provide a safety net for vulnerable members of society. It is their right. The efforts of the Salvation Army cannot be praised enough.”
