Ghana: President Mahama Request For Special Prayers
A statement signed by the Minister for Information, Hon. Fritz Baffour, said President Mahama in a letter to the National Chief Imam and the Ameer of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission asked them to request all Mosques to offer special prayers on Friday, December 14.

President John Dramani Mahama yesterday requested the country’s religious groups to offer special prayers in the Mosques and Churches this weekend for “Ghana to continue to enjoy peace and stability” after a successful general election.
A statement signed by the Minister for Information, Hon. Fritz Baffour, said President Mahama in a letter to the National Chief Imam and the Ameer of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission asked them to request all Mosques to offer special prayers on Friday, December 14. “The Christian Council of Ghana, Catholic Bishops Conference, National Association of Charismatic and Christian Churches and Council for African Indigenous Churches have also been requested to ask all member churches to offer special prayers on Sunday, December 16.”
The statement also requested Adventist to join the prayer session on Saturday.
President Mahama thanked the religious groups for their commendable role through prayers and advocacy for the peaceful and successful elections.
He urged Ghanaians to continue to pray for peace.
