Ghana: Talimul Islam Ahmadiyya School wants to expand infrastructure
Madam Boakye disclosed that the school recorded 99.35 per cent passes the 2012 West African Senior School Certificate Examinations, and attributed this feat to the hard work, dedication and discipline of the students and the tutors.

The headmistress of the Talimul Islam (T.I) Ahmadiyya Girls Senior High School, Asokore- Ashanti, Madam Ayesha Nyantakyiwaa Boakye, has appealed to the government and benevolent organisations, to assist the school with more infrastructure, to enable it admit more students and expand education delivery in the area.
She stressed that with a population of about 1,021 students, “we need spacious assembly and dining halls, a fence wall, and staff bungalows”.
Madam Boakye made the appeal at the launch of the school’s 40th anniversary celebrations, and speech and prize-giving day, recently. The theme for the celebrations is: “Development through girl-child education; the role of stakeholders”.
The celebration is slated for March 9, 2013 and the activities lined up include a book exhibition, food bazaar, football gala and a candle light procession.
Madam Boakye disclosed that the school recorded 99.35 per cent passes the 2012 West African Senior School Certificate Examinations, and attributed this feat to the hard work, dedication and discipline of the students and the tutors.
She advised the students to study hard and observe committed to the rules and regulations of the school, to enable them to achieve better results in their academic pursuits.
Madam Boakye commended the Parent-Teacher Association, for providing the school a new classroom block and two buses, all worth GH¢104,000, to create the conducive atmosphere required for learning, and facilitate the movement of both staff and students.
The school was established in 1968 as a Middle School and transformed into a secondary school in 1968, with Mr Antwi Boasiako as the pioneer headmaster.
