The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community will host a conference to respond to allegations against 'history’s most peace-loving person, the Prophet Muhammad'.

The event will take place on March 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the College of Lake County, 189351 W. Washington St.

The organizers say the event is an opportunity for people of all backgrounds to learn about Prophet Muhammad from practicing American Muslims.

"Over the past several years, Muhammad’s character has been maligned on numerous occasions, including a hateful video," the organizers said in their newspaper announcement.

"This event provides an educational and civil response, demonstrates why over 1 billion Muslims revere Muhammad, and serves to build bridges of understanding."
