FAITH leaders from across the region discussed freedom of speech at the town's 9th annual peace conference.
More than 150 people attended the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (AMA) Slough's Peace Conference at The Langley Academy, in Langley Road, on Saturday.
Guest speakers included Nirmaljit Singh, head priest at the Ramgarhia Sikh Gurdwara, in Woodlands Avenue, Slough, and The Reverend Rod Cosh, Diocese of Oxford area dean for Burnham and Slough.
Atiq Bhatti, vice president of the AMA Slough, said: "This year's Peace Conference has been a great success and has proven once again that the many faith communities and their respected representatives have a real and strong commitment of promoting peace and harmony within the borough of Slough.
"By building these relationships amongst the many diverse communities in Slough we are all collectively working to building bridges so that we may work for the betterment of society and remove the barriers that may exist."
Speakers addressed the audience before a question and answer session. Youngsters from the AMA Slough also performed a song for the guests entitled 'Love for All and Hatred for None' - the group's motto.
