An interfaith conference on “Reconciling Human Suffering and Existence of God” will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday in Millennium Hotel, 2040 Walden Ave., Cheektowaga.

Invited speakers representing Hinduism, Judaism, Humanism, Christianity and Islam will present their views on such questions as:

  • If there is a God who is merciful and loving, why do his creations suffer from natural and man-made calamities?
  • Why does God let evil-minded people carry out their evil missions that cause innocent people to suffer?
  • Does human suffering mean that God does not care about his creation?
  • Does human suffering mean that God does not exist?
The organizer of the conference is the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Buffalo Chapter.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a dynamic, reformist and fast-growing international movement within Islam. Founded in 1889 in Qadian, India by Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (1835-1908), the Promised Messiah and Imam Mahdi, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is now established in over 200 countries with membership numbering in the tens of millions. Their motto is: “Love for All – Hatred for None.”
