During the final days of his recent tour of Australia, the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat and Fifth Khalifa, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad took time out to visit the ‘Tropical Fruit World’ located near Australia’s famous Gold Coast.
Whilst at the Tropical Fruit World, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad was also given a traditional Aboriginal welcome.
The Aborigines sang various songs and performed traditional dances that emphasised their teachings of peace.
Aborigines said they wished to share their ancient culture with His Holiness.
The ‘Tropical Fruit World’ is an agricultural tourist attraction where more than 500 different types of tropical and rare fruits are grown. It also includes rain forest trails, landscaped waterways and native animals. As an agriculturist himself, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad enjoyed taking a tour of the site and inspecting the various types of fruits cultivated on the land. The vast farmland was filled with hundreds of fruits, some well known, others less so, including avocados, dragon fruits, mangos, jackfruit and many others.
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad also visited an animal enclosure, where very lovingly he fed some native kangaroos with his hands.
The tenderness displayed by His Holiness emphasised Islam’s teachings of treating all of God’s Creation with kindness and compassion.
Later in the day, His Holiness was taken on a car tour of the city of Brisbane in the early evening.
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad’s second tour of Australia concluded on 28 October 2013. His Holiness is currently in New Zealand to inaugurate the Baitul Muqeet Mosque in Auckland to deliver the keynote addresses at the Annual Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in New Zealand.
