The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association, London Region, was responsible for hosting the event
The 3rd Annual Career and Job Fair held in Baitul Futuh Mosque on Saturday, 09 November 2013 was a huge success once again.
Due to the popularity of the of the event in previous year, Jobs and Careers Fair was opened to the local community.
The Jobs and Careers Fair was publicized in local papers as well as key organization promoted the event in social media.
Similar to the previous years several national and government organization were represented at the fair which included Police, Network Rail, South Western train , and Navy.
Siobhan McDonagh, MP for Morden & Mitcham, was on hand to inaugurate the Jobs and Careers Fair and the National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Rafiq Ahmed Hayat welcomed the participants.
Some of the other speakers included, Councillor Stephen Alambritis, Leader of the Council in Merton; Darren Williams, Chief Superintendent Borough Commander and Imam of the Baitul Futuh Mosque, Maulana Naseem Ahmad Baja.
A total 57 exhibitors representing a broad range of sectors were present and a key feature of this year’s event was to recruit Members for pre-police training by KBR in partnership with Met Police and AMA.
A Networking lunch with professionals was held as well.
Several break-out sessions and brief workshops and talks were delivered by various organizations which attracted a large audience.
