UK: Ahmadi Muslims Organize Religious Founders Day in Marsden


The Religious Founders Day began to be observed by the Ahmadiyya Muslim community over 100 years ago to promote peace and understanding between followers of different faiths.

Aa Religious Founders Day was organized on Sunday, December 1, by the Ahmadiyya Muslim community of Huddersfield South with the cooperation of a local church.

After the 10am Sunday Church Service, the congregation of St. Bartholomew’s Church in Marsden were invited to participate in the event held in the church hall.

Approximately 75 guests attended the function where speakers representing various faith traditions presented life-sketches and brief synopsis of the teaching each of their respective founders introduced to the world.

Reverend Geoff Garside welcomed the attendees to St. Bartholomew and spoke in representation of Christianity.

Sikh faith was represented by Mr. Singh and  Imam Sabahat Karim of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community represented Islam.

The Deputy Lord, Squadron Leader David Dinmore then spoke on behalf of the Lieutenancy, the Queen’s personal representative.

President of the local Ahmadiyya Muslim community, Mr. Fatihul Haq welcomed the guests to the event.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim community began to be observe the Religious Founders Day over 100 years ago to promote peace and understanding between followers of different faiths.

The community regularly organizes symposiums throughout the word where distinguished speakers from various faith talk about the lives and teachings of their respective faith-founders proving a wonderful opportunity for everyone to learn and develop respect for each other.
