India: Successful Ahmadiyya Muslim Bookstall at Annual Kannada Sahitya Sammelana in Madikeri
Along with other Kannada literatures, the Kannada translation of the Holy Quran was exhibited at the bookstall and thousands of pamphlets and introduction packages were distributed.

For the 2nd time in its history the town of Madikeri, a hill station in Karnataka state, India, hosted a popular Kannada language literature festival from January 7th to 9th 2014.
It was the 80th All India Kannada Sahitya Sammelana event, held at the Field Marshal K M Cariappa College grounds, Madikeri.
Conducted with much fanfare, more than 5,000 artistes participated in the street Processions and Stage shows highlighting the art, culture and traditions of the State of Karnataka.
The festival also attracted some 350 books stalls showcasing books only in the Kannada Language on various subjects.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Madikeri also availed the opportunity to participate in the Book Fair organized at the festival.
The Ahmadiyya book stall was inaugurated on 7th January 2014, by the local president of Madikeri Ahmadiyya community, M.U. Vaseem Ahmed.
Along with other Kannada literatures, the Kannada translation of the Holy Quran was exhibited at the bookstall and thousands of pamphlets and introduction packages were distributed.
The teachings of the Holy Quran were exhibited in several banners which attracted both the Muslims and non-Muslims visitors.
The people who visited the Ahmadiyya bookstall belonged to a vast array of beliefs and communities such as Muslims, Hindus, Christians, Atheists and Agnostics.
During the festival, the local president of the community launched the release of two Kannada books; ‘Mahile Islaminalli,’ Kannada translation of ‘Woman in Islam,’ written by Sir Zafarullah Khan; and “Dharmada Punaschetana Siddantha.” Kannada translation of the book, ‘Philosophy of Revival of Religions,’ written by late Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmed.
Shahid Badruddin, Secretary Dawat-e-ilallh, Majlis Khuddam-ul-ahmadiyya, South Karnataka was also present during the book release.
The festival pulled more than two hundred thousand visitors and about 30,000 visited the Ahmadiyya stalls during the 3 days.
