The mosque, in Langley Drive, is known as Masjid Noor and is the first mosque to be built by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association in Sussex.
The inauguration of the mosque was carried out on Saturday (January 18) by a special guest.
His Holiness, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, world head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, unveiled a plaque commemorating the opening of the mosque before leading those present in silent prayer.
Sheikh Najeeb Rahman, Ahmadiyya Muslim Association secretary for external affairs, said: “We are indeed delighted that Masjid Noor will be the first mosque built by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association in Sussex who are also celebrating their centenary here in the UK.
