Members of Keighley’s Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Association clubbed together to raise funds for Philippines typhoon victims at a charity dinner.
The meal was organised by international disaster relief charity Humanity First, and was staged at the Hilton Hotel in Bradford.
A total of £18,090 was raised, of which the Keighley women contributed £400.
The night featured auctions of donated items, including a pair of boxing gloves belonging to Amir Khan.
Keighley’s Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Association spokesman, Irrej Rubani, said: “We were pleased our ladies were able to contribute in our small way. Humanity First do a terrific job, and we wish them all the best with their great projects.”
