Around 100 women living in Tooting Bec and belonging to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community donated food to the Pollards Hill Baptist Church foodbank this morning.
They pulled together over 2 weeks to collect boxes of cereal, drinks, nuts and all sorts of tins and cans of food. Some women donated money instead which was used to purchase food.
This donation was part of the work they aim to do every month to help out in the community, on local, regional and national levels.
