An historic conference to be held in London is to call on the world of religion to unite behind their shared goal of social and international peace. International faith leaders, secretaries of state and other key leading figures involved in promoting religious freedom are to speak on the role and relevance of God in modern life.
Concerns about the increasing restlessness and hostilities around the world as well as the spiralling threat of extremism will be at the forefront of delegates and speakers as they address what religion can offer today's troubled world. With representatives of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Chief Rabbi of Israel, the conference brings together the world community in the spirit of peace.
The conference, entitled 'God in the 21st Century', on 11th February at the Guildhall in London, aims to reinvigorate debate and consider whether religion can offer robust solutions and engender peace that is deliverable and sustainable and unite people across continents and cultures.
His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, who has delivered addresses at parliaments across the world including the UK, USA and EU, will be the keynote speaker.
"Without God there can be no true peace. All religions have come from a Divine source and it is only by abiding by God's commandments and by acting with love, justice and truth can man truly find peace. One must be at peace within oneself, with one's fellow beings and with one's Creator; this is the path to peace.
"To strive for peace is a noble ambition and is something that the world has always stood in great need of. If we look at the situation of the world today, we realise that now, more than ever, it is a pressing and urgent need of the time for us to seek and pursue peace and harmony in the world.

Interfaith events, nationwide peace campaigns, fundraising for charities, blood donation drives and engaging in voluntary work in local communities are the hallmarks of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community that has organised this historic conference with the hope that it can help refocus people on serving God and serving mankind.
