Too busy to stop by a church this Ash Wednesday?
Bethesda United Methodist Church in Sykesville, Md., has come up with an unconventional way to meet the spiritual needs of a busy congregation, and will be offering a drive-through Ash Wednesday service this year, reports WBal.
"We're doing this as a service to the community, so people with a busy schedule will stop here and get the ashes and begin lent," George W. Murphy, a parishioner, said to WBal TV. "People will stop by, we'll have a small prayer, we'll consecrate them with the ashes and they can go on and begin lent."
