Alhaji A.B. Abubakarh, Headmaster of T. I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School (Real AMASS), in Kumasi, has expressed the need for parents and stakeholders to partner School administrators to complement efforts by the government to deliver quality education and ensure better future for the school children.
According to him, Heads of schools and administrators alone cannot deliver quality education, hence the need for all concerned citizens to contribute their quota to help achieve the very aspirations of our future leaders.
In an interview with The Chronicle in Kumasi, the headmaster stated that parents are mandated to pay their wards school fees on time, especially before examinations, to enable students have the peace of mind to write exams.
Alhaji Abubakarh said it was not proper and in the interest of any Headmaster to prevent or stop a student from writing an examination, but sometimes the attitude of some parents and students force the school administrators to do so.
According to him, some of the students refuse to pay fees even when the parents had given them the money to pay.
The headmaster also pleaded with parents and stakeholders to take keen interest in the studies of their children after normal school hours to help improve their learning ability and ensure that they become friends with their books.
He also called on parents to collaborate with school authorities in giving professional guidance and counseling to guide students in choosing their career paths to conform to the developmental needs of the country from the basic schools through to the junior and senior High school levels.
Headmaster Abubakarh revealed that despite the challenges in the education system, T. I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School is still outstanding as the school stands tall both academically and in sports, as the records show.
