UK: Tunbridge Wells Mayor receives £500 for his chosen charity


The group made the presentation to the mayor and mayoress, councillor John Cunningham and Diane Bradley from the charity TW Mental Health Resource at the Town Hall.

A Mayor has received a donation for his chosen charity from a Kent group.

On Monday, members of the Ahmadiyyah Muslim community presented a cheque for £500 to a mayor’s charity of choice.

The group donated the money to the mayor of Tunbridge Wells, Councillor Ronen Basu after collecting it at one of their annual charity walks. The mayors chosen charity is TW Mental Health Resource. The group made the presentation to the mayor and mayoress, councillor John Cunningham and Diane Bradley from the charity TW Mental Health Resource at the Town Hall.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim community is an international group which works to spread the message of peace and uniting communities. It was founded in 1889 and has opened over 500 schools and colleges and over 30 hospitals
