Exactly a month before the Tour de France, a group of 25 cyclists belonging to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (AMC) embarked on a national 600-mile challenge, named the Ride4Peace, from Glasgow to London.

The cyclists have set off from Birmingham and are will arrive in Oxford this afternoon.

Along the way, they have stopped at 13 UK Mosques, a Commonwealth Memorial graveyard and a WWI memorial site to pay their respect to the fallen. They would like to highlight the sacrifice of the 74,000 in the Indian army who offered the ultimate sacrifice fighting for the British Empire in WWI.

Many of them were Muslims.

Through the Ride4Peace they have so far raised £100k for two London-based charities, the British Heart Foundation and Humanity First.
