UK: The largest and longest standing Muslim conference comes to Hampshire - #JalsaUK


30 thousand people have arrived from around the world to take part in the Ahmadiyya Muslim convention at East Worldham near Alton.

A small village in North Hampshire has become the focus of a huge religious festival.

30 thousand people have arrived from around the world to take part in the Ahmadiyya Muslim convention at East Worldham near Alton.

Millions more will hear prayers and sermons via satellite links. Divya Kohli reports.

Jalsa Salana is being held on a 200-acre site at Oakland Farm, Green Street, East Worldham, Hampshire.

The convention began at 4.30 pm today after Friday prayers and the event will conclude with an address by His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad at 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 31st.


The event is being broadcast live around the world on the Community's own 24-hour satellite TV station, MTA - broadcasting on Sky channel 787 in the UK.
