USA: Ahmadiyya Muslim Regional Missionary Pays Visit to Mayor Joseph Broda of Lisle, IL

Imam of the Bait ul Jamm'e mosque in Glen Ellyn, IL, and the Midwest regional missionary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community USA, Syed Shamshad Nasir, paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Joseph J. Broda of the nearby town, Lisle, situated about 25 miles west of Chicago.
Imam Shamshad conveyed the Ahmadiyya Muslim message of peace and appraised Mayor Broda about the works Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has initiated in the cause of peace in the local area, nationally, and worldwide.
"I conveyed to the Honorable Mayor the steps Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is taking for creating and promoting harmony in our communities and explained to him our message of peace," Imam Shamshad said. "We believe the real peace first begins at home and works its way outward --spreading to communities, nations, and the world."
Imam Shamshad presented to the Mayor the popular book, "World Crisis and the Pathway to Peace", a compilation of speeches and letters of Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
Mayor Borda thanked the Imam for his visit and extended his full cooperation. Mayor Also presented to Imam Shamshad a book which shows the great progress of the town of Lisle.
Mayor Borda has been serving the Lisle community for more than two decades - 15 years as a Trustee and in May 2013, he began his fourth term as Mayor.
