About 500 Members of the Broader Community Joined the Australian Ahmadis to Mark the 25 Years of their First Mosque in Australia Masjid Baitul Huda.

The theme for this celebration “Mosque for Peace”, together with a unique Holy Koran Exhibition and the guided Mosque Tour, attracted about 500 people from the broader community, including the academics, religious and community leaders, neighbours and friends and a number of local, state and federal politicians.

The Prime Minister of Australia himself was “present” at the event via a video message.

Mirza Sharif, the National External Affairs Secretary, said: “The initial plan to host a dinner event of 300 had to be expanded to 700 due to the greater interest displayed by the broader community. It was indeed a great success as people came in large numbers to share the joy in celebrating the 25th Anniversary of its first ever mosque in Sydney Australia, Masjid Baitul Huda (House of Guidance)”.
Another highlight of the evening was welcoming our newly appointed National President and Missionary In-charge Imam Inamul Haq Kauser, who has served the community for more than 40 years, including 32 years in USA, by an Aboriginal Elder Uncle Greg Simms.

Imam Kauser gave a keynote address on the need for building bridges to bring communities together. He emphasised that we all should create common platforms and build bridges to spread the message of Peace, Love and Harmony”.
