Often accused of spewing ‘hate speech’ against Israel and India, Jamaatud Dawa chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed’s account on social networking site Twitter was suspended on Monday.

Upon searching on Twitter for the man declared as one of the five most-wanted terrorists in the world, a message shows up, stating: “The profile you are trying to view has been suspended.”

The social networking site maintains the right to suspend accounts for violation of Twitter Rules or even for investigation if it is suspected that an account has been hacked.

However, it is not yet clear why Saeed’s account was suspended and whether he has appealed yet or not.

The JuD is featured on an American rogue’s list with a bounty of $10 million dollars on his head.

In 2009, the United Nations declared his group a terrorist outfit and placed sanctions on it.

India has long alleged the JuD chief was the mastermind of the Mumbai attacks in 2008 which left at least 166 dead.
