Singapore: 27th Jalsa Salana, annual peace convention begins
During the first session of the convention, the national president of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Mr. Abdul Aziz, read a message from His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the worldwide head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, for Jalsa Salana Singapore 2014.

The 27th annual peace convention, the Jalsa Salana, of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Singapore commenced today, 5th December 2014. This three-day event traditionally attracts Muslims mostly from South East Asian countries who meet to reaffirm their commitment to Ahmadi ideals of non-violence, neighbourliness and charity.
There will be speeches, exhibitions, sports event and charity flea market. Among the attendees are members of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in SEA region and the representative from the headquarters, Maulana Ainul Yakin, Missionary in-charge of Malaysia.
The event began after the Friday prayers with the flag hoisting ceremony. The Jamaat Ahmadiyya flag was raised by Maulana Ainul Yakin and Abdul Aziz, national president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Singapore raised the Singapore flag.
During the first session of the convention, the national president of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Mr. Abdul Aziz, read a message from His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the worldwide head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, for Jalsa Salana Singapore 2014.
His Holiness’s message primarily focused on taking the benefit of attending this blessed event as the Ahmadi Muslims are obliged to deliver the best to their faith and Humanity.
This three-day event will end on Sunday, December 7.
This is the largest Ahmadi Muslims gathering event in Southeast Asia region and expects increaded attendence including non-Ahmadi and non-muslim guests.
As the event shows the genuine face of Islam, all are welcomed regardless of one’s faith.
