UK: Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association plant thousands of trees


Muslims for Humanity, a scheme run by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, teamed up with the Woodland Trust, Trees for Cities and the Conservation of Volunteers to plant trees in St Albans.

A Muslim youth group embarked on their campaign to plant 100,000 trees at the weekend.

Muslims for Humanity, a scheme run by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, teamed up with the Woodland Trust, Trees for Cities and the Conservation of Volunteers to plant trees in St Albans.

The group included youngsters from the First London Mosque, Fazl, in Southfields.

Fida Haque, from Southfields, said: "It is particularly important to us that we bring as many young people to these events as possible so that they can gain a greater understanding and appreciation of the environment."
