USA: Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Glen Ellyn visited St.Barnabas Episcopal Church.


Imam Shamshad told the audience the purpose of the Promised Massiah which is reformation of mankind in the present age.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Glen Ellyn chapter visited St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Glen Ellyn, IL. on a special invitation from Reverend Donna M. Lalongo, the head of the church.

A 16-member delegation of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Glen Ellyn Chapter, led by Imam Shamshad A. Nasir, was welcome by Reverend Donna with her church members and officials who escorted the delegates to a meeting room.

After introduction of the attendees, Imam Shamshad shed light on Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, its founder, the long awaiting Massaih, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, India.

Imam Shamshad told the audience the purpose of the Promised Massiah which is reformation of mankind in the present age.

Imam further explained that Hazrat Ahmad's mission originated from a remote town, Qadian in Punjab, India and today this community is established in 205 countries and territories of the world with tens of millions of followers.

Imam Shamshad also enlightened the audience about Islam including its five pillars of faith.

"Islam gives freedom of faith," he told, adding, "Today Islam is hijacked by extremists for their political gain."

His address was followed by a question and answer session.

In the end Imam Shamshad gifted a book on the life of Holy Prophet Muhammad to the Rev. Donna while Souvenir of Ahmadiyya Gazette USA was distributed among the members of church present in the meeting.

The program concluded with combined prayer.
