India: Successful Ahmadiyya Muslim Outreach Drives on Sunday


The Ahmadiyya Muslim community of Bangalore arranged 3 outings on a single day and had over 800 one-on-one interactions.

When "Walk of Hope" reached Madikeri, Ahmadi members participated in the walk and led it from the front

It was a fantastic day of interfaith outreach in Bangalore, India, yesterday where Ahmadi Muslim volunteers distributed more than 2,000 Islam is Peace information packages in English, Hindi and Kannadain languages.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim community of Bangalore arranged 3 outings on a single day and had over 800 one-on-one interactions.

In the first run, 4 teams of Ahmadi Muslim youths organized a door-to-door folder distribution drive in an upscale neighborhood of Bangalore called the Hosur Sarjapur Road Layout. In 3 hours more than 150 homes and families, mostly Hindus and few Muslims, received the Islam-Ahmadiyya message of peace.

The outreach resulted in many one-on-one interactions and good introduction of the Ahmadiyya community was made. Many who received the messages appreciated the efforts of removing the misunderstandings about Islam and indicated they loved to see Muslims making such efforts to foster brotherhood and Peace among communities.

In the second instance, Manav Ekta Mission -- which has organized a Walk called "Walk of Hope" from Kanyakumari, the Southern tip of India to Srinagar in the Northern state of Kashmir -- had invited the Ahmadiyya Muslims of Madikeri chapter to join the event when the they would reach Madikeri.

Many Ahmadiyya volunteers interacted with the participants of the walk and distributed information to about 200 intellectuals and attendees of the program.

Also, yesterday, a team of community Imams, elders, youths and  ladies attended the evening program of the "Walk of Hope."

Mr. Chandrashekhar Kambar, the Eminent Kannada Poet who is a Gyanpeet Awardee, was the main guest at the event.

Many volunteers interacted with well educated intellectuals and distributed Ahmadiyya Islam's message of peace packages to more than 500 attendees at the occasion.
