Dutch fascist plans to award prizes at a contest for "the best Muhammad cartoon" in Galrland, Texas.

Infamous far-right fascist and Dutch lawmaker, Geert Wilders, will address members of the US Congress in Washington DC at the invitation of Congressman Steve King (R, IA) and Congressman Louie Gohmert (R, TX).

There are two separate events planned for Wilders where he will address the US lawmakers on April 29th, Wilders himself announced on his personal blog.

First he will speak at the invitation of Congressman Steve King (R, IA) at a breakfast meeting hosted by Conservative Opportunity Society, a group founded by former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Newt Gingrich.

That same day, Wilders says, he will speak at a reception party arranged for him by the Republican Congressman Louie Gohmert from the First District of Texas.

"I feel deeply honored by the invitations," wrote Wilders, adding "In my speeches I will warn my American colleagues of the dangers of Islamization."

After speaking in Washington, Geert Wilders says he will travels to Garland, Texas.

"[O]n May 3rd," Wilders anounced in his blog, "he will give a speech and award a prize of $10,000 for the best Muhammad cartoon."

The Garland, Texas event is organized by another notorious name in Islamophobia, Pamela Geller, who is often seen running pro-Israeli and anti-Muslim advertisements on buses.

The cartoon contest in Garland, Texas is not Wilders' first-time antic in the United States.

During Wilders' 2009 US trip -- paid for by David Horowitz, a conservative writer and anti-Muslim propagandist in the US -- "Wilders participated in an event organized by the David Horowitz Freedom Center that auctioned off cartoons mocking the Prophet Muhammad," wrote Yasmin Taeb, a contributor to ThinkProgress blog.

Writing about Wilders' interaction with the like-minded in the US, Taeb says the US isn't a strange land for the notorious Islamophobe from the Netherlands.

"[A] tightly-knit group of anti-Islam activists and organizations in the United States are in fact collaborating with and at times funding similar discriminatory and bigoted elements in Europe," wrote Taeb, outlining Wilders previous rendezvous with Congressman Gohmert and several other lawmakers and some well known think tanks.

Taeb points out that when Wilders was charged with race-based hate crimes in the Netherlands, it was a think tank oceans away in the US, that funded Wilders legal defense. "The Middle East Forum, a militarist think tank that is the source of much of the anti-Islam propaganda spread by activists and so-called experts in the United States, funded his legal defense in 2010 and 2011 against charges of inciting racial hatred in the Netherlands."

Wilders had successfully defended himself against the charges and "the court found he had stayed within the limits of free speech," Routers had reported in September 2012.
