It was a beautiful sunny day Saturday for the fourth annual Run For BWG, held in partnership with the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Canada.
Dozens of runners and walkers from throughout Bradford took part in the event, which had three and five-kilometre routes around the BWG library.
"The money raised every year goes toward different community initiatives. I am very proud of our partnership with AMJ,” Councillor Raj Sandhu said.
“This event has a big effect on our town. It really brings people together to support local initiatives and that’s wonderful,” Mayor Rob Keffer added.
Overall, the top three fastest runners during the event were Fernando Carvahlo, Ibrahim Atif and Zain Siddiqui.
This year, funds raised will go toward supporting the family health centre, BWG library, cultural and leisure centre.
