Hundreds of Ahmadi Muslims woke up to shock and fear to find their residence and place of worship vandalized as a result of growing threat of Islamophobia.
Toronto, ON – Residents of the awarding-winning Ahmadiyya Abode of Peace, a non-profit housing community located at 3001 Finch Ave W North York, ON M9M 3A9, woke up to shock and grief to find their apartment building vandalized.
The Ahmadiyya Abode of Peace apartment building is the residence, community centre and place of worship for hundreds of members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at.
The entrance of the apartment building was vandalized with profanity towards the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who is extremely sacred and beloved to all the Ahmadi Muslim residents of the building and across Canada.
The residents are deeply concerned that their abode of peace has become a target of the growing threat of Islamophobia.
The apartment building has been a recipient of numerous awards including the prestigious ‘ONPHA Going Green Award’ by Premier Kathleen Wynne and the ‘CHRA Sustainability Award 2015’
