Pakistan: Government intensifies travel ban on Christians
It is also reported by some Christian travelers to EU and North America that they are regular travelers but FIA takes heavy bribes to board a plane.

Karachi: June 4, 2015. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC has expressed grave concern on off-loading Pakistani Christians after boarding in planes for travelling abroad.
The Federal Investigating Agency FIA immigration cell deployed on Pakistani airports not permit Pakistani Christians to get boarding cards for flights to destinations of South Asia, South East Asia, Europe and North America who carry valid visa and other travelling documents.
The FIA stops Pakistani Christians for checking counter of immigration and takes them to interrogation rooms at airports where they are disrespected and harassed; They are denied to proceeded for boarding card counter with accusations that they are going abroad to seek asylum.
It is also reported by some Christian travelers to EU and North America that they are regular travelers but FIA takes heavy bribes to board a plane.
Nazir Bhatti said “Pakistan government is making Pakistan as sub jail for millions of Christians on posing restrictions on their travelling to other countries”
The constitution of Pakistan guarantees freedom of movement for every citizen of Pakistan but Christians are treated like inmates in boundaries of Pakistan by putting ban on their travelling.
According to sources of Pakistan Christian Post in administration, in 2011-12, the government of Pakistan paid heavy amounts from secret funds to some Christian religious leaders and Christian NGO to visit Colombo and Bangkok to collect data of Pakistani Christian asylum seekers that their particulars may be forwarded to UNHCR blaming their claims are fake.
There more than 10,000 Pakistani Christian and Ahmadi community in Thailand, more than 4000 in Malaysia and 2000 in Sri Lanka, who fled from Pakistan after rising violence against their life and property by majority Muslim community of Pakistan on pretext to blasphemy laws.
Nazir Bhatti added “These Pakistani Christian asylum seekers are not economic migrants like millions of Pakistani Muslims in America, Canada, Europe and Australia who got asylum on fake documents when they were not persecuted in Pakistan”
PCC Chief urged government of Pakistan to lift ban on travelling of Pakistani Christians and not to put them under siege.
Nazir Bhatti demanded intervention of Federal Interior Minister Ch. Nisar Ali and Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Nawaz Sharif to take immediate note of illegal acts of FIA on Pakistani Airports to stop Christians boarding flights and harassment.
