For Canadian Muslims, the annually celebrated holy month of Ramadan is a time of great commitment to their faith.

Going without any food or drink from dawn to sunset, Muslims attempt to uplift themselves spiritually by show of gratitude and appreciation for the many bounties they relish. Not only does this month allow Muslims to better connect with the Divine, but also a reminder to always show great love and mercy to fellow human beings. Throughout these days, Muslims consistently engage themselves in acts of worship of God and service of humanity.

This Ramadan presents a unique opportunity for all fellow Canadians to find out more about Ramadan and enjoy delicious food.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at of Canada has launched a campaign called 'Fast With Muslims,' which allows people to connect with Canadian Muslim Families, find out more about the holy month, and even participate in fasting and opening of fasts with Canadian Muslims.

I would encourage all to participate in this wonderful initiative.
