QADIAN: Ahmadiyya Musilm Jama’at Delhi organized an 'Eid Milan Party' on the evening of July 22nd to commemorate the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the festival at the completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
According to a press statement issued by Mr. K Tarique Ahmad, Press Secretary Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, the community organized the “Eid Milan Party” at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
More than 200 guests participated in this program.
Maulana Fatehud Din, Ahmadiyya Muslim Missionary in New Delhi recited the verses of the Holy Quran and Shiraz Ahmad, Deputy Chief Secretary of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community delivered the welcome address wherein he presented a brief introduction of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at.
Shiraz Ahmad said the Ahmadiyya Muslim community stands at the forefront to promote interfaith dialogues and global peace in today’s troubled world.
“Love for All Hatred for None” is the Motto of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, he said.
A short documentary was shown which included a compilation of the instructions from the Head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, to promote Global peace and harmony.
The documentary was the key attraction in this program.
The Session concluded with the Silent Prayer which was then followed by the dinner. Silent Prayer performed by the gathering
The Eid Milan Party was attended by several prominent people including Mr. Avinash Rai Khanna, National Vice President BJP Party; MP Rajya Sabha; Mr. Sanjay Joshi, former National General Secretary BJP; Mr. Sandeep Bhattacharya, MP Rajya Sabha and chairman Parliament Committee for Home Affairs, and Mr. Muhammad Afzal, Central Secretary Muslim Rashtrya Manch..
The community holds Eid Milan Parties in various part of the country where it invites the friends of the Ahmadiyya community to share in their moment of Happiness and Joy.
Holding such events is a means of the community to promote inter-cultural dialogues and mutual understanding between different faiths.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman Bhatti, who attended the event said that it was a very successful event.
