[R]ather than looking for differences, we all should look for similarities and respect and love each other because we all are the creation of the same and the only God.

WHILE studying religions, I was surprised to see the similarities in religions and fasting in particular was the point that clicked in my mind.

All religions have concepts of God, heaven and hell, rewards and punishment and most of all, similar moral values.

In addition, some form of fasting is practised in almost every major religion.

In my opinion, as a member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community with the motto "Love for all, hatred for none", religions are like paths and the destination is God. Prophets are like mentors who guide people on the path through their conduct.

Therefore, rather than looking for differences, we all should look for similarities and respect and love each other because we all are the creation of the same and the only God.

As Muslims, we celebrated Eid-ul-Fitar after the fasting month of Ramadan.

From family, my community and me we say EID Mubarak to everyone.

May happiness and blessing continue with everyone.
