Sri Lanka: Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at to hold annual convention Jalsa Salana


This year annual convention will be a remarkable one, as the year 2015 marks the centenary of the establishment of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at will hold its Annual convention (Jalsa Salana) on Saturday the 1st August 2015 at Ahmadiyya Jubilee Hall, Periyamulla,  Negombo.

Ahmadi Muslims throughout the country are expected to attend this one day convention which begins at 9.00 A.M.

A Special Representative of Ahmadiyya Supreme Head (Khalifa) is also expected to attend the event.

This year annual convention will be a remarkable one, as the year 2015 marks the centenary of the establishment of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at in Sri Lanka. In 1915, this community was established in our motherland.

To mark the centenary of the establishment of Sri Lanka Ahmadiyya Jama’at, Sinhala Translation with Arabic Text  by Sri Lanak Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at was launched at Colombo National Education & Book Fair being held at Public Library Premises, Colombo from 28 July 2015 to 3.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a dynamic, reformist and fast-growing international movement within Islam. Founded in 1889, the Community spans 206 countries with membership exceeding 160 millions.

The Ahmadiyya Muslims are a well recognized as peace loving community.
