Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Australia will hold its first ever symposium on the topic of; The role of Muslim youth in promoting peace in Australia - on Saturday 12th of September 2015 at Baitul Huda mosque Marsden Park, Sydney.
More than 300 Ahmadi Muslim youth members are expected to attend the symposium. Some selected delegates and Muslim youth speakers will attend from different parts of the country. The National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth, Mr Waqas Ahmed said,
“Our event aims to include speech and talks on a range of topics including the role of youth, role of Govt. officials, religious leaders and Imams, parents and teachers on raising Muslim youth in this day and age. There is a great need to start the conversation about the role of youth in nation building, training and education of children, de-radicalisation & social integration and various challenges being faced by Muslim youth."The Symposium will include speakers and attendees from various spheres of society, including politicians, academics, faith and civil leaders as well as representatives from numerous charities and faith communities and we hope this is the first but not the last talk of its kind.
