35th World Religions Conference - Canada's Largest Multi-faith event
Scholars of 7 faiths and philosophies and nearly 800 delegates including officialdoms from academia, local, provincial and national governments as well as associates of various faith organizations are expected to flock to the River Run Centre for Canada's Largest Multi-Faith event - the 35th World Religions Conference (WRC), taking place on Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Radicalization of men and women of all faiths - both in the west and east has become one of the most significant threats of international terrorism in the world today. Conference organizers feel it is the responsibility of faith groups and faiths leaders to address this growing global crisis. This year's conference theme will therefore explore how radicalization of followers of faiths is tackled and what might be its underlying causes.
The event hosted by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at of Canada with the cooperation of dozens of partner organizations, will be moderated by a famous Radio host, whereas eminent scholars representing Humanism (Atheists and Agnostics), Sikhism, Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Aboriginals and Hinduism will speak on the issue. Admission is free, but seating is limited.
