Canada: Milton Ahmadi Muslim group sells poppies in support of veterans

Five-year-old Rameen Qureshi was selling poppies on behalf of the Royal Canadian Legion outside the Walmart in Milton Sunday.

Volunteers with Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at have taken an active role in supporting Canadian veterans in advance of Remembrance Day.

Youth turned out to local retail outlets Sunday to sell poppies. They were accompanied by veterans from the Ahamadiyya Muslim Jama'at, including Col (R) Aslam Raja, Col (R) Ahmed Waqar and Col (R) Munawar Mir.

The poppies were sold at the Milton Mall, Walmart, Tim Hortons and Real Canadian Superstore.
