Sri Lanka: Quran Sinhala Translation gifted to more leading Schools in Colombo City

A two member delegation from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at Sri Lanka, Moulavi A.B. Musthaq Ahmad, Chief Missionary, and A. Abdul Aziz, National Director, Faith Outreach, visited leading Schools in Colombo City to donate Sinhala Translation of the Holy Qur’an on Monday, November 16, 2015.
Top Buddhist ladies Schools, Gawthami Balika Vidyalaya, Ananda Balika Vidyalaya, Sangamita College, and two other leading schools namely Wesley College and Kerry College were presented Sinhala Translation of the Holy Qur’an with Peace Message in English and Sinhala.
The delegation was welcome by the Associated Principal Wesley College, Mr. Upali Ratnayake who was very much pleased for the Sinhala translation of the Holy Qur’an and commended the efforts for 'this noble task.' Mr Ratnayake was briefed about the Jama’at and its motto, Love For All; Hatred For None.
Deputy Principal of Gawthami Balika Vidyalaya Mrs. Kavi Vithana welcomed the delegation and showed much interest on Sinhala Translation of the Holy Qur’an. She pointed out that "this is the one we have been anxiously waiting for."
Deputy Principal, Ananda Balika Vidyalaya Mrs. Kanchana also expressed her pleasure on this Holy Book and the School Sports Teacher requested us to distribute this Holy Qur’an to all the Buddhist Schools -- numbering 128 throughout the Island.
"People should read and understand this Holy Book – that is our prayers and wish," it was expressed.
