India: Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Bangalore organized 3-day faith outreach campaign


Many expressed their happiness and said that it was the 1st time they are seeing individuals from the Muslim Community coming out and making such efforts for "PEACE".

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Bangalore organized a 3-day faith outreach campaign holding interactions with more than 180 intellectuals, academicians and religious leaders in Bangalore.

A team of 11 volunteers from Ahmadiyya youth and elder groups went out to various places along with Ahmadiyya missionary Mir Hameed-ur-Rehman and the visiting representative of the Noor-ul-Islam region Bharat, Sohail Ahmad.

The volunteers introduced the Ahmadiyya Muslim community and spoke at lengths about the efforts by the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslum leader, His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad, for world peace. His Holiness Ahmad’s book “World Crisis and Pathway to PEACE” was also gifted as part of the introduction.



The community’s message of peace was well received by all and many also promised to support the community's peace efforts.

Among the locations visited during the campaign was, Indian Institute of Science (Tata Institute) where volunteers met the Deens, Chairmen and more than 80 professors, belonging to about 30 departments.

At Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, the volunteers met with Deens and more than 25 professors and research fellows of 10 areas of expertise; and, at NIMHANS Hospital, they met the Director, HoDs of different departments and 45 senior professors and research fellows.



Many expressed their happiness and said that it was the 1st time they are seeing individuals from the Muslim Community coming out and making such efforts for "PEACE".

Many whom volunteers met expressed the need for us "Muslims" to educate and give priority to knowledge among our own people so that they don't fall into the trap of fanatics.

In addition to these top Academies of Excellence of India, volunteers also paid visits to 14 religious places and spent good time with the leaders and built good understanding.

The places visited are:
1. CSI (Christian Protestants) Karnataka Central Diocese (Met the Bishop of Karnataka Dr. Prasana Kumar Samuel and many senior members of the Diocese.)

2. Dharmaram College (Christian Protestant), Dairy Circle: (Met the Rector and many senior members of the College.)

3. Maha Bodhi Society, Gandhi Nagar (Met the manager of the ashram, who gave us a good tour of their facility and explained their sect of Buddhism.)

4. Temple Iskcon, Rajajinagar (Met and spoke at length with the PRO of ISKCON, who was very grateful with our visit and promised to work together in future for the establishment of peace.)

5. United Theological College of Catholics, Benson Town ( Spent good time with the Head Librarian of the Library at UTC, introduction and discussion later went on in the form of a friendly Debate on Christianity and how Islam was the natural successor.)

Other places visited include, Bishop's House of Catholics, Benson Town; Ramakrishna Mission Math, Ulsoor; Ramakrishna Mission Math, Bull Temple Road; Gurudwara, Ulsoor; Trinity Church, M G Road; Manav Seva Dharm, Ulsoor; Methodist Church, Wilson Garden; Shanti Church, Wilson Garden; Jain Temple, Wilson Garden.
