Sri Lanka: Quran Sinhala Translation presented to VIPs at Maris Asia Conference
This five day Conference, started on 12 December 2015, received delegations from 16 countries including India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Brazil and Spain.

A two member delegation from Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at Sri Lanka (AMJSL), comprising A. Abdul Aziz, Secretary Faith Outreach, (AMJSL) and Missionary M.A. Asmath Ahmad (Negombo) had the opportunity to take part in the inaugural function of the Maris Asia Conference, organized by Maris International Mission Assembly held at Bolavalana Church in Negombo.
This five day Conference, started on 12 December 2015, received delegations from 16 countries including India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Brazil and Spain. The AMJSL delegation took part on invitation to invoke blessings on the function, representing Islam.
In his short address, Misionary Asmath Ahmad took the opportunity to highlight the launch of Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation by Sri Lanka Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and informed the audience about the recent gift of Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation to the President of Sri Lanka, by the AMJSL.
Following Imam Asmath's address, the copies of Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation were presented to Chief Organizer of the event, Principal, Mari Stella College, a Christian Priest and a Buddhist Monk of a leading Buddhist Temple in Negombo.
Along with the copy of the Sinhala Translation of the Holy Qur’an, Peace Messages in English as well as Sinhala and the Sinhala Translation of the book ‘The Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam’ written by the founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam ahmad, the Promised Messiah and Imam-al-Mahdi, were presented.
