NIAGARA FALL, NY - A local mosque is trying to fight the misunderstandings that can lead to fear and mistrust of Islam.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community on Colvin Boulevard in Niagara Falls started a weekly open house Wednesday night.
Every Wednesday anyone can come in and ask questions or express any concerns that have about the religion.
Nasir Khan, a representative of the mosque, told 2 On Your Side: "People have a lot of questions, and I think it's only through education and information coming from the right sources that will help alleviate the fear that a person might have." said
The open house is held every Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the mosque on Colvin Boulevard in the Falls.
